Winter Presidents Message

To All Members of the NTHECC
The year 2011 is rapidly coming to an end and I know everyone is planning for
2012.

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and are looking for a prosperous New
Year. I am sure that Santa is back in the North Pole getting a well deserved rest
after his long trip.
I hope everyone that attended the 2011 NTHECC Fall Meeting, our 5oth Anniversary,
had a good time and enjoyed the meeting and the facilities in Norfolk, VA. I
know that is a great place to have conventions and the Mayor and Police Chief sent
us letters thanking us for visiting their town.
It was a great meeting and everything went well with the guidance of Mr. Richard
Bruce, the Membership Meeting Committee Chair and his committee members.
I know Richard is a very humble individual and does not expect a slap on the back
for doing a good job but he definitely deserves the recognition. When you all see
Richard at the upcoming Spring Meeting, please take the time to thank him for doing
such a fine job.
I also want to thank all of the other committee’s for their hard work and the membership
for supporting this organization.
I don’t have the numbers in front of me but I think we may have broken some records
at this meeting. I believe we had the highest attendance at this meeting and
Mike Kinder set a new record on the sponsors. I am sure Mike will have those
numbers at the upcoming Spring meeting.
For those of you that were unable to attend for one reason or another, we missed
you and you did miss a great meeting.
We will soon be preparing for the upcoming Spring Meeting and I hope everyone
can attend. I know I look forward to seeing you in Dallas and always enjoy going
into that area.
I hope all of you have great plans for the upcoming 2012 and I do hope and pray
that the economy will start turning around so everyone will have all the work they
want and need.
Take care - be safe and remember the secrets to staying young, being happy, and
achieving success. You have to laugh and find humor every day and you have got
to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die.
HAPPY NEW YEAR,
Bill Fisher - NTHECC President

2009 Annual Meeting, Colorado Springs, CO

October 16, 2009

Dear Members:

Having just returned from the 2009 Fall Convention in Colorado Springs these are a few words that I heard describe it “Productive-Outstanding-Awesome-The Best-Entertaining-Informative”!

Our first day was kicked off by golf put together by our one and only, Mark Paullin, and when I say one and only you know what I mean!

Friday was time for CE’s taught by Bill Stewart with Claims Training Services with 41 in attendance- what a success!

The following day, Saturday, the Colorado Springs K9 Unit introduced their 7 canine officers and partners. We were also honored to have them lunch with us during the luncheon/vendor fair that was well represented by 18 vendors. The attendance of the vendors and their products was such a success with positive results that we will continue to have this type of venue at future conventions. Following lunch the K -9 unit demonstrated the ability of several dogs from one on one, gunfire and containing multiple felons.

Sunday was a time for our speakers with topics ranging from Hybrid Trucks, Paccar Parts, Parts Locator, Towing, Volvo, Freightliner and Cargo thefts. The spouse program that was put together by Nanette Bruce was a great success and a lot of fun- thanks Nanette! The banquet was attended by our special guest speaker, Deputy Chief Rob Walker along with some of his officers at which time we presented a $5000 donation to replace a retiring canine officer. Visit: www.springsgov.com/News.asp?NewsID=214 or www.coloradoconnection.com/news/story.aspx?id=358927.

A special thanks to Richard Bruce for organizing the Convention, Tom Everette for Education & Public Relations and Michael Kinder and his committee for the Sponsorships. With the dedication of these gentleman and others we had one of the most successful and productive conventions to date.

Your President,
L. Daniel Ford
